By using ontologies as the semantic data model for Web Service technologies this ensures adoption of the Semantic Web. Furthermore, semantically enhanced information processing allows development of high quality techniques for automated discovery, composition,
contracting, and execution control for Web Services, thus enabling the promise of Web Services to become a reality.

The Semantic Web Services Week 2005 brings together people from industry and research from all around the world in order to provide a platform for mutual exchange of ideas and possiblilities towards setting the grounds for industrial impact of Semantic Web Services technologies.
